Sponsorship & Grants

The Harbor Point Charitable Foundation provides financial support in 2 major ways:
• As a sponsor of fundraising events produced by nonprofit organizations and
• An annual grant awards program.

The Foundation provides sponsorship support and grants only to nonprofit organizations that are exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation does not support  individuals or for-profit organizations, or fund capital improvements, religious activities, program advertising, political parties, offices or candidates. The range of approved grants is generally $1,000-$10,000.

An organization can receive one grant OR one sponsorship per calendar year. The Foundation’s strong preference is to fund one year, rather than multi-year grants.

Consideration is limited to organizations whose programs support our overall mission, which is to fund and facilitate the most promising organizations aimed at improving the quality of life for Bay Area adults and children in need.

Our focus is two-fold:
1) To support innovative organizations dedicated to serving adults and children experiencing a health crisis, and
2) To support educational, arts, athletic and nutritional programs demonstrating a commitment to our children’s future.

The Foundation has a geographic focus, providing funds only for programs and services that benefit residents of the San Francisco Bay Area, with a special emphasis on Marin County.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors will only review requests that follow these funding guidelines.

Sponsorship Program - Sponsorship requests are accepted throughout the year.
Please complete the attached Sponsorship application form (at bottom of this page) and submit at least 2 months prior to the event date by email to kathy [at] hpcfgiving.org

Grants Program - The Foundation will accept grant proposals in 2024

Grants Process
Our Grants Committee reviews and conducts due diligence on each request. In November the Board of Directors make their final determination regarding grant awards for the following year. Beneficiary organizations are informed of their awards by early December and receive their funds by the end of the current calendar year.
